Denver International Airport (DEN) is looking for a strong leader to join our Airside Operations department as an Airport Operations Manager. In this role you will manage and control the day-to-day airfield operations at Denver International Airport to ensure the efficient movement of aircraft and the safety of those using the airport. This position requires a person to be skilled at building and maintaining relationships throughout the airport, as well as having a strong grasp of the operational airfield duties. Job duties include managing airfield and terminal operations to ensure efficient flow, safety, and adherence to applicable federal and local rules and regulations; supervising operational staff; managing ongoing inspection of airfield operations and facilities to ensure compliance with the Airport Certification Manual under Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 139 and other applicable federal regulations; acting as Incident Commander for all airport emergencies; negotiating and coordinating with FAA, contractors, airlines, Airport Security, engineering, maintenance, tenants, and others to optimize aircraft and vehicle flow rates; developing, coordinating, and executing the airport snow plan; following the requirements of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and managing resources during emergencies; supervising collateral duties or special projects; developing work plans and schedules; resolving operational problems; documenting disciplinary actions; and performing other duties as assigned. Candidates should have 3-5 years of airport operations experience, leadership experience, ICS knowledge (certification a plus), aviation snow removal experience, and a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Management or related field. A valid Driver's License is required. The position requires availability 24/7/365 and may involve extended hours during emergencies.
