Role Overview

To support our rapid growth, we seek an experienced healthcare consultant to join Chartis as an Associate Partners in our High-Reliability Care Solutions (HRC) practice, aligned to our Clinical Transformation line of business.

Associate Partners are integral members of our firm’s leadership team, contributing to firm-building efforts while managing 1-2 consulting engagements at a time. Engagements vary in duration and are supported by teams of Consultants and Analysts. Within our HRC practice, we have several offerings all focused on improving quality, safety, and reliability. One long-standing offering is in clinical compliance/regulatory affairs and Chartis has been a trusted partner for many years to help clients meet regulatory challenges. We are looking for a consultant with deep expertise in clinical compliance, regulatory, quality, and patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the problem-solving process and day-to-day management of engagement teams, including overseeing teams’ analysis and deliverables, often coordinating with subcontractors as well as consulting team members.
  • Apply thought leadership to client engagements, generating actionable insights that drive meaningful improvement for the firm’s clients, developing frameworks and approaches with broad potential impact.
  • Build and maintain client relationships drawing upon healthcare knowledge and insights to address issues within and beyond the scope of specific consulting engagements.
  • Create sophisticated, compelling communications that motivate clients to action.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to junior staff, rapidly developing their skills and knowledge through an apprenticeship-based development model.
  • Help build the firm’s portfolio of business through support of client proposals, participation in industry events, and other marketing activities.
  • Contribute to firm initiatives focused on talent (e.g., recruiting, training), knowledge (e.g., IP development, white papers), and other core areas.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree in healthcare or another field (e.g., MBA) preferred.
  • At least 8 years working with healthcare providers on strategic or operational initiatives in quality, nursing, infection control, or other similar initiatives.
  • At least 3+ years managing others in a professional service environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, accreditation, and clinical compliance, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), The Joint Commission, and similar regulatory agencies (e.g., DNV).
  • Advanced clinical training, certification, or additional degrees preferred (NP, CIC, Lean, CPHQ, HAP-CMS, etc.)
  • Prior healthcare management consulting experience preferred.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Superior communicator able to convey insights in a way that motivates clients to action, both verbally and in presentations and proposals.
  • Strong people leader, adept at managing team’s work while developing colleagues’ capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines and while managing multiple priorities.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Passion for materially improving the delivery of healthcare in the world.

Salary range: $185,000 - $225,000 plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, Chartis offers several benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, wellness stipend, and additional voluntary benefits.

At Chartis, we pride ourselves on having a diverse workforce. We value and celebrate the uniqueness of individuals and the different perspectives they provide.
