Our continuous growth has allowed us to expand our services to a new, 8-acre training academy facility in Cartersville, GA We have had zero turnover with our trainers! We focus on training dogs for our modern clients with busy lifestyles, while balancing the empathy and honesty that guides them in the right direction for their unique situation. The owner of Alan’s K9 Academy has extensive experience with growing and scaling sophisticated, service-based companies. We have procedures in place that far surpass those of other dog training companies, maintaining professionalism and organization. We are passionate about making a difference for dogs and our clients and want trainers to join our team that share our passion. Who you are: You must have at least 1-2 YEARS OF DOCUMENTED PROFESSIONAL DOG TRAINING EXPERIENCE (NO EXCEPTIONS) working with both obedience and behavioral cases. While a lot of dog trainers suggest that they can handle behavioral cases, few actually have the proper education and experience to work with challenging situations. You must be someone who can provide evidence of your ability to do this. We will ask extensive questions in the interview process. You should be able to step in immediately with our structured onboarding process. Position starts out part time will lead into full time hours quickly depending on you. You must have professional experience working one-on-one with clients and be comfortable with assessing difficult cases as you establish an effective solution, both for the dog and the client. Your strong presentation skills will be shown off as you represent the authority figure in front of our clients. You must be a fast learner, computer and technology proficient, and hungry for more work. You will be required to perform training sessions during the week, mornings, days, evenings, and Saturdays. You must have a reliable vehicle to travel throughout the North Georgia area including Atlanta. Your Role: An experienced trainer that can conduct our various training programs. These will be done primarily in our clients’ homes, or other convenient locations nearby. Training may also take place at our training facility. Type of Employment: This is a part-time position leading into a full-time opportunity as a 1099 contractor. New trainers will be in an evaluation/training phase while they practice through the Alan’s K9 Academy protocols, and work with the Lead Trainer to ensure their training skills align with our expectations. The length of the training phase will be dependent upon experience, as well as completion of the evaluation from the Lead Trainer. You are permitted to manage your schedule and hours, including days off. You must be willing to commit to a minimum of 30 training hours per week. Compensation: 1099 contractor Commissioned with bonuses Weekly pay depends upon how many clients you prefer to take. Which is completely up to you!
