Audubon is currently seeking an
Electrical Project Manager to be part of a project team working onsite at a client's site in Shreveport, LA. The
Electrical Project Manager will manage projects to control budget and schedules.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES : Key Areas of Responsibility will include: - Systematically reviewing instruments and electrical power systems to improve reliability and prevent unexpected failures.
- Establishing the performance standards for maintenance utilizing KPI's, developing the method of measurement and providing timely and routine feedback to those responsible for the performance (performance management).
- Being responsible for resources to act for the company in matters pertaining to the successful progress and completion of assigned projects.
- Oversight and direction of project execution activities, including overall cost, schedule, and plant performance related to the project assigned.
- Responsibility for the project scope including engineering, design, equipment procurement, construction procurement, construction management, plant commissioning and start-up, environmental permitting, etc.
- Maintaining a safe work environment and supporting safety goals in the office, suppliers, and fabrication and field sites.
- Ensuring completion of projects within budget and schedule constraints.
- Understanding complex project plans, drawing specifications and schedule as well as the resources necessary to complete the project on time and within budget.
- Coordinating with the Construction Manager and Project Field Staff to determine the priority of job when dealing with scheduling conflicts for labor and equipment.
- Performing regular inspections of all work performed on assigned project.
- Preparing monthly budget forecast and overall yearly spending outlook.
- Reporting project and budget status to management monthly. Providing detailed explanation/justification for deviations from forecasted budget and schedule.
- Preparing equipment specifications and write equipment-purchase and project-funding requests.
- Additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES: - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite.
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
