WHAT WERE OFFERING
Responsible for the sale of United Communications' data solutions, voice services, and off-net solutions. Identifies and engages potential customers throughout the sales cycle in a rapidly growing regional ISP, focused on delivering a seamless customer experience. The role emphasizes lit and dark services for enterprise, wholesale, government, and developing market segments. The position requires agility, creativity, drive, collaboration, strong organizational and sales skills, negotiation expertise, and good judgment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.

  • Strategically generate new leads with targeted businesses through various prospecting activities, including cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals and partner relationships. Actively seek ways to promote and position the United Communications brand within territory.
  • Collaborate with engineering, network operations, and construction to source and structure deals that deliver value to our customers.
  • Develop accurate and timely forecast of sales opportunities.
  • Create and deliver sales presentations demonstrating strong knowledge of United Communications products and services.
  • Lead customer meetings on a regular basis with a strong ability to build rapport, open doors, and understand business needs of senior decision makers.
  • Cultivate local partnerships and organizational affiliations to positively promote and position United Communications brand within the communities we serve. Actively participate in community events and service opportunities.
  • Maintain and build customer relationships by regularly following up with existing customers to ensure service and product satisfaction.
  • Understand technical aspects of our services and engage customers in a consultative approach by understanding the work, our processes, and industry trends.
  • Win as a team - make big things happen by working together and being open to and suggesting new ideas.
  • Own the customer experience - think and act in ways that put our customers first.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline, or the equivalent education and /or experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the areas of responsibility listed above.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in telecommunications or broadband sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage existing accounts and close new business through networking and cold calling.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals as an individual contributor.
  • Must possess strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to work in a rapidly growing company and industry.
  • Strong self-started who can work independently while being part of a close-knit team.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to effectively articulate complex situations to colleagues and customers with varying degrees of network knowledge.
  • PC skills advanced word processing and email proficiency, along with the ability to review and analyze data in company systems. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards, strong work ethic with an emphasis on team commitment, showing respect for others, the ability to acknowledge and build on others ideas, and support for group decisions.
  • Ability and interest to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing technology environment, effectively dealing with multiple projects, stress, and conflict.
  • Must have the ability to solve problems with patience and a positive approach.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
