Role Summary In this role, under the direction of our Chief Medical Officer, the successful candidate will provide genetic counseling to patients, partner(s) and affiliated person(s) undergoing fertility treatment.
Some day-to-day job duties include:
- Provide high quality care in collaboration with physicians, lab team and other clinical staff.
- Assess individual and/or family risk for inherited conditions including genetic disorders and birth defects.
- Analyze and interpret test results and genetic information including but not limited to personal and family histories.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommends medical or genetics testing.
- Determines and coordinates treatments plans and explains any diagnostic procedures.
- Understands PGT-M/PGT-A Implications
- Works closely with NEST/Third-Party team to screen egg donors, coordinate testing, write reports, and manages cases of new genetic information.
- Review, interpret and communicate risk assessment to patients and physicians.
Education, Licenses, Certifications - Master's degree in Genetics Counseling
- California, Oregon, and Washington licensure preferred
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous
- Experience with, and proficiency in, electronic medical records
- Computer proficiency: Microsoft office
- Additional spoken languages preferred, but not required
- Experience in healthcare or medical office preferred, but not required
Employment Type This is a full-time exempt position.
Compensation The salary range for this role is $75,000-$90,000. Salary is based on several factors including job related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees.
