Position: Graphic Design Intern (College Credit) Location: Staten Island FerryHawks, Staten Island, NY Department: Marketing Reports To: Marketing Director About the Staten Island FerryHawks The Staten Island FerryHawks are a professional baseball team in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, an MLB-partner independent league. As a growing sports brand, we're looking for a passionate and talented Graphic Design Intern to help elevate our visual identity and support our marketing efforts throughout the season. This internship is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in the sports and entertainment industry. Position Overview The Graphic Design Intern will assist in the creation and execution of visual content for a wide range of marketing materials, including digital assets, social media graphics, print collateral, promotional materials, and in-stadium signage. This position will provide the intern with valuable experience in designing for both traditional and digital platforms while contributing to the overall brand development of the Staten Island FerryHawks. Key Responsibilities

• Design Visual Content: Create compelling and on-brand graphics for digital platforms, social media campaigns, email marketing, game-day promotions, and print materials (posters, flyers, brochures, etc.).
• Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the marketing, social media, and game operations teams to support their visual design needs and execute creative concepts.
• File Preparation: Prepare final designs for both print and digital distribution, ensuring all files are properly formatted and meet production requirements.
• Design Templates: Develop and manage reusable design templates for ongoing marketing efforts (e.g., social media posts, event promotion graphics).

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign. Experience with After Effects or Premiere Pro is a plus.
• A portfolio showcasing your previous design work, including a variety of projects such as social media graphics, print pieces, and digital assets.
• Basic understanding of typography, color theory, layout design, and branding principles.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to take direction and feedback.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects with varying deadlines.
