Second Look Styling & Boutique LLC is a small business founded on the principles of secondhand living, upcycling, and creative consulting. Based in Rochester, NY, Second Look has a strong online presence with over 500K followers and has a storefront in the South Wedge that opened February 2025. The business specializes in styling, fashion, personal shopping, home decor, social media management, event assistance, and speaking engagements with a focus on local and national outreach.

Role Description

This is an internship role with Second Look Styling & Boutique LLC. The Intern will be involved in day-to-day tasks related to styling, fashion consultations, social media management, website updating, event assistance, photography, and creative consulting (this is flexible pending the candidate - we are open to individuals who are just specialized in retail, just in social media, just in photography, etc. - preferred is a mix of all). This is a hybrid role based in the Rochester, New York Metropolitan Area, with some work from home flexibility (that all can be discussed and we are open to taking on multiple interns with varying roles - does NOT need to be local but local preferred)

Who We're Looking For

• College students (all grade levels) majoring in marketing, business, Entreprenurial studies, graphic design, website creation/management, public relations, fashion, hospitality, etc. (not required but preferred)

What You'll Do (We are open to multiple interns - not all qualifications below need to apply):

• Social Media Management and Event Assistance skills
• Photography for content management and online shop sales
• Attend events and networking opportunities with Sarah our owner/founder on behalf of Second Look
• Organize micro-events in the Second Look space
• Help with the design and layout of Canva advertising, posts, and e-guides
• Support content and marketing initiatives using Google Suite and Canva
• Gain real-world experience helping to manage and grow a successful brand and boutique both regionally and nationally (could include assisting with reaching out to local businesses and partners to collaborate and build partnerships)
• An opportunity to work in the store alongside Sarah gaining retail and hospitality experience

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Interest in sustainable fashion and secondhand living
