Summary:

Following the mission of The Blake School and the core purposes of the athletic department, the JV basketball coach will direct, serve, and coordinate with the Girls Basketball program.

The Blake Girls Basketball Program competes in the Independent Metro Athletic Conference, which is part of the Minnesota State High School League.

Job Duties:

• planning and coordinating all schedules and practice

• player development

• assist in aspects of the youth basketball program.

• organizing game scouting and planning

• communicating to players and parents

• other duties as assigned by the Head Basketball Coach

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• strong knowledge of basketball

• experience coaching with demonstrated success at the high school

• passion for working with the high school athlete

• ability to balance team building with individual skill building

• integrity and fairness

• a vision for the basketball program

The Blake School is a pre-kindergarten through grade 12, co-educational, nonsectarian, independent day school enrolling 1,389 bright, talented students from nearly 60 Twin Cities-area communities.
