Salary:

Mackin Engineers & Consultants is seeking a highly experienced Registered Landscape Architect in our Pittsburgh, PA office. As a Registered Landscape Architect, you will be responsible for leading the conceptualization, planning, and execution of landscape architecture projects from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of landscape design principles, a strong technical background, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of innovative and sustainable landscape design solutions for a variety of projects, including parks, recreational trails, multimodal corridors, urban spaces, residential developments, and commercial properties.
• Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and goals, and to ensure alignment throughout the design process.
• Manage all phases of the design process, including site analysis, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, stormwater design, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Prepare and present design proposals, presentations, and technical reports to clients, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Prepare drawings, renderings, and specifications for landscape/engineering projects using CAD or other design software.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members and support their professional development.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in landscape architecture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
• Registered Landscape Architect (RLS) license required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in landscape architecture, with a demonstrated track record of successfully completing complex projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Trimble Sketchup, and other relevant design software.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with consultants and contractors.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green infrastructure practices.
