POSITION TITLE: LEAD DENTAL RECEPTIONIST - NORTH SIDE
POSITION LOCATIONS - Jackson and San Andreas California
STATUS: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
STARTING SALARY: $24.56 - $28.88, Hourly
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Dental Receptionist will work under the close supervision of the Dental Operations Director. They will act as a liaison between Administration and the receptionists and will provide training and support for all dental receptionists.
The position requires an awareness and keen appreciation of American Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs and the ability at all times to meet and deal effectively in contacts with Indian health organizations which requires tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides training and support to the reception team.
- Ensures receptionists are following proper protocols in regards to phone calls, scheduling and messages.
- Ensures receptionists are following proper procedures for checking in and checking out patients.
- Acts as a liaison between reception and the billing department.
- Provides training to new receptionists.
- Evaluate receptionists' competencies during probationary period, periodically and annually.
- Participates in 90 day and annual performance evaluations.
- Covers for other receptionists in the event of staff shortages.
- Must be able to relate well with patients and other employees of MACT.
- Must adhere to the MACT Health Board, Inc. Corporate Code of Conduct.
- Comply with all MACT policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year experience as a Dental receptionist.
- One year experience with MACT Health Board or One year Lead Front Office experience.
- Current AHA BLS CPR Card.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass Occupational Health Screening.
- Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system.
- Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility (determined by auto insurance carrier).
