Position Summary Qualifications

Minimum of 7-10 years experience with independent programming, setup and operation of 2, 3 and 4 axis CNC machines, and part inspection. Experience in managing production schedules, workflow, equipment maintenance, and safety issues.

General Accountabilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines
• Verify print specifications to programming
• Chose and verify correct tools for the job
• Adjust machine controls or control media
• Verify correct machine program is running properly
• Conduct first part and random part inspection
• Comply with inspection procedure
• Problem solve issues that affect efficient production
• Complete job traveler in all areas required
• Maintain clean work area and help keep the rest of the shop clean
• Keep machining tooling and production parts clean and free from excess oil
• Perform at consistently good level of production

Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of CNC machining and programming
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to read detailed engineering prints and technical drawings
• Complex problem solving and critical thinking
• Good math skills, including calculus
• Keen decision making
• Strong appreciation of production schedule and deadlines
• Accountability for production time and tracking on job traveler
• Excellent grammatical and communication skills

Education

• Minimum high school diploma
• Associates Degree or technical certification preferred
• Equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience
